About The Kadima Band

The Kadima Band has a decades-long history in the Boston area, and since its inception in 1977, it has has stayed current with the addition of new members, new energy, and new songs written by members of the band. The Kadima Band performs in concert throughout New England, playing in synagogue services, Oneg Shabbat gatherings and other temple events; at weddings, bar/bat mitzvah, anniversary, birthday, engagement, and graduation parties; and for corporate, community, and organizational events.

Our specialty is Jewish music, but we also love to play other styles of music. Call or email to discuss how we can bring uplifting music to your event, and we'll customize the perfect set list for your audience.

We recorded our CD, "B'Tikvah - With Hope", featuring original songs and some beloved traditional Jewish songs, as well. Please email TheKadimaBand@gmail.com to order your copy! Be sure to get a few - they make great gifts!

Our band members are:

Bradley Nelson (keyboards, accordion, vocals) – Bradley was born and raised in Brockton where he grew up listening to the Jewish music of Safam and Neshama Carlebach. A classically trained musician since 5, he also began performing with The Kadima Band, sitting in on clarinet. When his father Larry Nelson (founder of The Kadima Band) passed away in 2008, Bradley took over on keyboards, accordion, and vocals, keeping The Kadima Band legacy alive. In addition to performing with The Kadima Band, he enjoys learning and playing new instruments, such as guitar, bass, harmonica, and theremin! He currently resides in Brockton with his wife Lauren.

Lloyd Baron (percussion) - Lloyd has been performing for over thirty years with top function and club bands throughout New England. In addition, he performed with Gerry Kniewood and back up band to Leslie Gore. His specialty is playing a wide variety of styles, a perfect fit for The Kadima Band.

Jill Goldman (lead vocals) – Jill loves to sing music of many different styles, especially the Hebrew songs she learned as a child, jazz standards, and “oldies”. She occasionally composes music, and has recently taken up the ukulele. When she is not singing, she is busy recording voice-overs, drawing, and taking walks in nature.

Additional musicians are available (sax, clarinet, flute, guitar) if requested.
